Reimagine Arkansas Recordings

Event |
Lower Mezzanine

Share your voice! The Momentary and Reimagine Arkansas have teamed up to capture your thoughts and feelings inspired by the exhibition Nick Cave: Until. Respond in person via a recording station to a few thoughtful questions after exploring the exhibition, located on the Lower Mezzanine at the Momentary. The voluntary responses will be captured, compiled, and shared by Reimagine Arkansas and the Momentary, turning the responses into a resource for our community to grow and learn from one another about where we are today and what our community hopes the future may look like.

Unable to participate in person? Record and submit your private response online through December 1 here.

And just as a reminder, we take safety seriously. The recording station has been designed to invite conversation while taking all necessary safety precautions. It is contact-free for guests with an additional plexiglass barrier in place between the participant and the person taking the recording.

As a safety precaution and to comply with Arkansas State guidelines, the Momentary requires face coverings at indoor and outdoor programs and events for ages 10 and older, as well as at food and drink venues, except when eating and drinking. Participants will be asked to practice social distancing of six feet for the safety of all attendees. Following the most recent recommendations from the CDC, face coverings with exhaust valves or vents are not allowed. Masks will be available upon entry for those who do not have one.

The mission of Reimagine Arkansas is to listen to those who matter when it matters most. As Arkansans struggle with the challenges and uncertainties of this moment, they are creating a space to build a collective vision for a future that works for all of us. By curating conversations with Local Voices Network on particular topics, such as racial injustice in the COVID-19 response or advocating for frontline workers, Reimagine Arkansas is amplifying the thoughts and voices of citizens imagining a more just and joyful future. From the audio captured in these curated conversations, local creatives apply art and design to produce a visual accompaniment to the audio expressions on a given subject to build out a constellation kit.
