Sunday Reset | Moving Art with Lindsey Myernick
Come flow freely and allow your hands to creatively sweep the earth.
Join Cocoon Yoga Lab instructor Lindsey Myernick in a unique, “artful movement” yoga practice that combines expressive drawing with yoga flow to express emotions through your body and guided movement. Using artists’ charcoal and large sheets of paper over a yoga mat (we’ll set up before you arrive), you’ll become both artist and instrument as we move through each pose with charcoal in hand, creating a visual record of every exploratory motion.
Because this practice is inherently messy, we do recommend that you wear all black, preferably something that you don’t mind getting dirty and can freely move in. (Black yoga pants and a black t-shirt or tank is perfect.) If you have long hair, please wear it tied back.
We also recommend that you bring a beach towel to use in your car, or a second outfit to change into after our class. (We’ll have wipes and such to help clean hands and feet.) Water in a closed container to sip on during class is also recommended. Cocoon will provide mats for all guests.
Expressive, messy, and uniquely creative, this practice is the perfect way to both ground and inspire you for the week ahead. And yes, you can take your illustration home with you.
See you there!
Tickets are $15 ($10/members), reserve your spot online or with the Box Office at (479) 657-2335 today.
