A New Between | Jaimie Henthorn

Performance

Jaimie Henthorn and Nile H. Russell initiate a site-specific performance duet, interrogating the architecture of the Momentary, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and the path in between. During this two-day performance along the trail and through the Downtown Square, the duet traverses a new liminal zone between these monumental structures. It presents questions such as, where does art ‘happen’, and can art be contained? What more will this exploratory journey ask, and reveal, about this new between?

As a safety precaution and to comply with Arkansas State guidelines, Crystal Bridges and the Momentary require face coverings at outdoor programs and events for ages 10 and older, as well as at food and drink venues, except when eating and drinking. Participants will be asked to practice social distancing of six feet for the safety of all attendees. Following the most recent recommendations from the CDC, face shields and face coverings with exhaust valves or vents are not allowed. Masks will be available upon entry for those who do not have one.

Join us in witnessing a new performance considering “the new between” with artists Jaimie Henthorn and Nile H. Russell. This two-day site-specific performance will be a nomadic movement based piece with multiple ways to experience the work.

Please note: This is a nomadic performance along the trail with different beginning and end points. To witness the full performance each day, guests are encouraged to meet at designated time and location, and follow us along the trail. It will be slow-paced with stops along the way. The trail is paved, and flat, however at times has a relatively steep incline. Staff will be assisting with traffic, and we encourage viewers to be aware of their surroundings. A shuttle service available with limited capacity will be offering transport. A link will be sent to reserve a seat 24 hours in advanced of the ticketed performance.
