Y entonces el mar te habla | Coco Fusco
Y entonces el mar te habla / And the Sea Will Talk to You invites audiences into the physical and emotional experience of journeying from Cuba by sea. Traditional seating is replaced by inner tubes that service as sea crafts for Cuban rafters. The video combines images of the Caribbean Sea and skies with poetic and testimonial commentary on the sea. The film will begin every hour, on the hour, with a 15-minute break in-between screenings.
Free, no tickets required. Runtime 45 minutes.
Traditional seating is also available.
This event is a part of our focus exhibition Entre/Between, a multi-sited exhibition presenting works that speak to Latinx histories living within and between the United States. Surveying a visual history from 1851 to the present, the exhibition consists of paintings, photos, sculpture, works on paper, and video exhibited at Crystal Bridges, while video works and performances will be featured at the Momentary.
Entre/Between is sponsored by Phillips.
