COLLISION: When Visions Combine
What do you get when you bring together 10 different artists, each a master of their own practice, and let their visions combine in a night of never-before-seen performances?
COLLISION—and it is spectacular.
ABOUT COLLISION: When Visions Combine
An exploration of process, exchange, and play, this collaborative performance experience invites 10 local artists to create and perform together for one night only. Presented in collaboration between the Momentary and CACHE, artists have been paired together based on their individual practices and interests, as well as how they might compliment or challenge one another. The outcome? Together, the artists’ practices merge into a 15-minute set, to be performed three times over the course of the night and across the Momentary.
Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to witness true artistic collaboration. See you there.
Free, no registration.
Per CDC’s updated guidelines, we require all visitors ages 2 and up and staff to wear a face covering indoors and for outdoor programs. Guests may remove their face covering to eat or drink. Masks will be available upon entry for those who do not have one.

THE ARTISTS & THEIR COLLISION
Fernando Valencia & Karen Castleman
Fernando Valencia (percussionist) and Karen Castleman (dancer) share a love of Latin rhythms. The two will explore this shared love, in shared space and time, with activities like call and response, solos and collaborative improvisation, playing off of, and with, one another, connecting to the driving impulse and the joy of rhythm.
Na’Tosha De’Von & Leah Grant
Na’Tosha De’Von and Leah Grant will explore the realms of isolation in poetic time through a live poetry performance.
Jeremiah “Baang” Pickett & Nikola Radan
Jeremiah “Baang” Pickett and Nikola Radan will present a piece titled Rhythm of Life. This presentation will pair spoken word and visual elements with flute instrumentation, together , exploring the simplicity, complexity, beauty, and cycle of life.
Pura Coco & Robyn Jordan
Pura Coco and Robyn Jordan will activate the space by exploring the wonders, pressures, and costs of honoring and making decisions about one’s body through dance and song. Their piece is about asserting feminine energy, experiencing opposition, and showing up fully by any means.
Megha P Rao & Jasper Logan
A fusion of east and west. Dance and music has a universal language irrespective of its origin and history. Megha P Rao and Jasper Logan are bringing in that element of Rhythm and feel to their performance by merging Hip-hop and Bharatnatyam.
Presented in partnership with CACHE.
