Free on the Green | A Man Named Cash

MEET ON THE GREEN for family fun
Each month, we set aside special days to keep the Momentary Green open and free for all. Whether you’re lounging with a picnic, enjoying our yard games, flowing through yoga, or just soaking up the sun, this is your space to unwind. Come make the most of a beautiful day on the Green—the lawn is yours to enjoy however you like!
This month, kick back for an evening of free live music featuring A Man Named Cash—a tribute to the legendary Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Experience the raw energy and timeless storytelling of Cash’s greatest hits, performed by Eric Hofmanis, handpicked by the Johnny Cash Estate to carry on the legend’s legacy.
Before the show, be sure to visit The Prison Concerts: Folsom and San Quintin (Jim Marshall’s Photographs of Johnny Cash) for a special behind-the-scenes look at those legendary live performances.
Free, no tickets required.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
A Man Named Cash
A Man Named Cash is the ONLY Cash tribute to feature an Estate chosen singer—Eric Hofmanis—as seen on the acclaimed Johnny Cash The Official Concert Experience. A 100+ city national tour produced in part by Johnny Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, and the Cash Estate.
A Man Named Cash is recognized by fans as one of the most honest and true representations of Johnny Cash live in concert. Eric’s deeply resonant voice, high-energy performance style, and profound embodiment of Cash’s spirit will leave you captivated as he performs an array of songs from his nearly 50-year career – including I Walk The Line, Ring Of Fire, Sunday Morning Coming Down, and the 2004 Grammy Award-winning song “Hurt”.
Eric is joined onstage by Megan Houde in the role of June Carter, whose vibrant presence brings a perfect balance of joy, love, and tenderness to the performance. Their remarkable onstage chemistry, reminiscent of Cash and Carter themselves, promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you enchanted and uplifted as they perform such hits as “Jackson” and “It Ain’t Me, Babe”, and many more.
