Concert update
As of Thursday, May 30, we’re thrilled to share that this concert will proceed as scheduled!
This special solo performance will feature songs and stories with 12-time Grammy winner John Legend. Experience intimate reimaginings of his greatest hits (“All of Me,” “Ordinary People,” “Tonight”), unexpected stories from Legend’s life and career, and selections from his most recent release LEGEND (“Nervous,” “Wonder Woman”).

What’s New
In partnership with Cox Communications, the Momentary and Crystal Bridges want to thank the region’s first responders and those on the front lines of storm cleanup and service restoration for their work by offering free tickets to An Evening with John Legend.
To redeem a pair of tickets to the concert, first responders should call the Momentary’s Box Office at (479) 657-2335 or visit in person. First responders include firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, 911 dispatchers, and electrical and critical services workers. Ticket quantities are limited, and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Additionally, the Momentary is partnering with the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank to collect donations for those experiencing food insecurity across the region at this critical time.
We encourage you to bring nonperishable food items with you to the concert to donate. Some great items for donation include
- canned tuna, chicken, vegetables, and fruit
- whole-grain cereal, spaghetti, and rice
- dried beans
- oatmeal
- and peanut butter.
Monetary donations to the Food Bank will also be accepted via electronic means.
Donation bins will remain on-site at the Momentary and at Crystal Bridges for the next few weeks following the show.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
JOHN LEGEND
EGOT-winning, critically acclaimed, multiplatinum singer-songwriter John Legend has garnered 12 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award, and an Emmy Award, among others.
Legend is the first African American man to earn an EGOT and one of only seventeen people in the prestigious EGOT club. Legend has released eight celebrated albums over the course of his career, including, Get Lifted (2004), Once Again (2006), Evolver (2008), Love in the Future (2013), Darkness and Light (2016), A Legendary Christmas Deluxe (2019), Bigger Love (2020) and most recently, LEGEND (2022).
Late last year, Legend launched his critically acclaimed Las Vegas Residency entitled, “Love In Las Vegas” which began in April 2022 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
Legend starred as Jesus in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert in April 2018. That year, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie and won an Emmy as a producer in the category of Outstanding Variety Special (Live) for the show. Legend joined The Voice for Season 16 (2019) and was a coach on Season 22 (2022).
Beyond his music career, John, along with partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius, is a principal of Get Lifted Film Co. Their upcoming projects include the film adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s novel Blacktop Wasteland, Al Sharpton’s documentary Loudmouth, and the highly anticipated second season of the IFC/AMC comedy series Sherman’s Showcase. Get Lifted produced the Netflix films Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey and Monster; documentary films Citizen Ashe, The Legend Of The Underground, A Crime On The Bayou, 40 Years A Prisoner, and Giving Voice; the HBO docu-series Atlanta’s Missing And Murdered: The Lost Children, Sherman’s Showcase: Black History Month Spectacular; and Rhythm + Flow. Get Lifted and Universal Studio Group’s UCP inked a first-look deal for unscripted series and an exclusive multi-year overall deal for scripted content. Aside from film/TV, they have partnered with Zando to form Get Lifted Books, under which they will publish brilliant authors, who have the ability to transform the conversation in both adult fiction and nonfiction as well as titles for young readers.
As an activist, Legend launched HUMANLEVEL in 2021, an initiative to uplift communities disproportionately impacted by institutionalized racism. Legend also initiated the #FREEAMERICA campaign in 2015 to change the conversation surrounding criminal justice policies and to end mass incarceration. In addition to Legend’s signature initiatives, he serves on the Board of Directors of Harlem Village Academies and Management Leadership for Tomorrow, and on the Advisory Board for The Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and Teach for All.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Entry: Arrive early! Gates are open from 7 to 10 p.m. There are two points of entry to the concert. They are located at the Arvest Bank Courtyard and 8th Street Market. Please be ready to show your mobile/printed tickets along with a valid ID/student ID.
- Re-entry: No re-entry will be allowed for this show.
- Parking: If you booked a pass in the Momentary Parking Garage, it is located next to the 8th Street Market at 701 SE 8th Street. Note: There is an 8′ height limit for the garage.
- Additional parking is available at the Bentonville Fire Station at the Corner of 8th and A Street. Shuttles will run to and from the lot from 6 p.m. until 30 minutes after the end of the show.
- Biking in? Bike valet will be available at the Tulip Barn, located along E Street on the west side of campus. Note: Bentonville Trail System is closed. Be mindful of the closures and stay off the trails.
- Rideshare and pick-up/drop-off locations can be found along E Street.
- Seating: This event is standing room only—feel free to bring blankets to sit on, however, folding chairs, stadium chairs, and other seating is not allowed.
- Wheelchair-accessible suitable viewing areas are available for guests needing such accommodations. Please contact Guest Services in advance if additional assistance or accommodations are needed by emailing BoxOffice@theMomentary.org
- Security screening will take place upon entry. Please be prepared.
- Bag Policy: You can bring one clear bag into the venue that is not larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, or a single one-gallon plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). Exceptions for diaper bags, medical devices, and media apply—learn more here.
- In addition, you can also carry a small clutch purse, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap.
- Bags will be screened as you enter. Security has final say on what is and isn’t permitted.
- Fun Food and Drink: Hungry or thirsty? Enjoy the culinary creations of the Momentary Food Truck and fun beverages from the RØDE Bar and several bar locations across campus before and during the show. Additional vendors include: ShoBo’s Kitchen, Blue Concessions, Sour Puss Lemonade, Mo Tacos & Churros, MarShae’s Sweet Escape, William’s Famous Fried Chicken, and SecondHand Smoke. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
- Due to impacts from the recent severe weather, the Tower Bar is closed for repair.
- Cashless Event: Bring your credit or debit cards as we’re 100% cash-less.
- Photos and Video: Capture your favorite concert moments with a point-and-shoot camera or your phone. But please leave professional cameras, drones, selfie sticks, tripods, detachable lenses, and audio or video recording devices at home.
WHAT TO BRING AND NOT BRING TO THE CONCERT
BRING
- Valid ID and tickets to present upon entry.
- Blankets to use in designated areas, if desired.
- Free water stations will be available. Empty plastic water bottles are encouraged to help stay hydrated. (No glass, metal, or opaque plastic containers.)
- Bring your credit or debit cards. The festival is 100% cash-less.
- Rain or shine, the show will go on! Come prepared with your sunscreen, hat, raincoat or a poncho.
- One clear bag no bigger than 12” x 6” x 12”, or a single one-gallon plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). You may also carry a small clutch purse, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap.
- All clear bags and clutch purses will be screened prior to entry. Security has final say on which bags will be permitted.
DON’T BRING
- No folding chairs or other seating is allowed at this standing-room-only concert.
- No outside food and drink, large bags, coolers, or ice chests. No pop-up shade tents or umbrellas of any kind.
- No weapons or firearms of any kind are allowed, even if you have a permit. Laser pointers, glow sticks, and illuminating objects are strictly prohibited.
- No fireworks, fuel, or explosive materials of any kind.
- No skateboards, scooters, or wheeled devices other than ADA-compliant transport.
- No kites, frisbees, inflatables, or air horns.
- No illegal substances of any kind.
- No smoking or vaping will be allowed outside of designated smoking areas.
- No pets.
- No posters, signs, or promotional materials. Flyers and other promotional materials cannot be distributed on Momentary property without prior approval.
- Prohibited items will not be admitted or checked. Please leave these items at home or in your locked vehicle.
