Join us at the RØDE House for a captivating dance journey that explores the rich history of hip-hop culture through two electrifying acts:

Act 1: ORIGINS of Hip Hop consists of high–energy, unadulterated street dance movement that will explore and push the boundaries of the ORIGINS and ROOTS of street vernacular dances such as Locking, Popping, Hip Hop, Krump, and more. Audiences will walk away with a different view on Hip Hop dance culture and will be vividly immersed into the depth and beauty that UNITES us all.

Act 2: Versa-Style’s latest full-length hip hop dance theater work, “Freemind Freestyle,” explores the depths of improvisational dance. Audiences will walk away with a visceral immersion into Hip Hop dance culture. Danced to sonic remixes of Hip Hop, classical, and electronic music, the work calls upon each dancer in the diverse company to draw upon his and her own personal experience of freedom, and express this inner battle through the rich vocabulary of street dance.
