MoPros | Pet Portrait Workshop with Kira Brought
Make the most of your after-work hours and recharge in style with MoPros—curated experiences for creative professionals.
This month, Kaleidoscope Collective and the Momentary are joining forces to bring you the art of animal portraiture with Kira Brought.
Come paint a portrait of your furry friend with the help of Kira Brought, creator of @badgirlclubart! All ages and abilities are welcome, all that is needed is a picture of your furry friend before class. Paintings will be 8×10 canvases, all supplies are provided!
To ensure that you get the most out of your workshop experience, once you purchase your ticket, Kira would like you to email us a photo of your pet that you would like to use as the reference for your painting during the class. Kira will then use this photo to prep your canvas in advance. This way, you won’t have to spend valuable class time drawing your pet on the canvas, and you can dive right into the painting process! We will be painting with acrylic paint and learning the style of @badgirlclubart paintings utilizing bright, fun colors. Come ready to have fun, and celebrate progress!
Tickets are $30($25 for members), reserve your spot online or with Guest Services at (479) 657-2335 today.
ABOUT KALEIDOSCOPE COLLECTIVE
Kaleidoscope is a retail + workshop space where local artists, makers, and designers can showcase their work within a revolving community of creatives located in downtown Rogers. Offering a variety of products from pottery to prints, paintings to jewlery, clothing to furniture with the majority being handcrafted in Arkansas. Along with showcasing local artists work, Kaleidoscope also offers weekly workshops taught by those local artists. Check out their website to see all their upcoming workshops!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kira is a University of Arkansas graduate with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication, and a leader in logistics application development as a career. Kira started her journey with @badgirlclubart in 2019 after losing her big brother, Justin, to his battle to addiction. After his passing, people found out about his struggles and judged her and her family and labeled her a “bad girl”. So she decided to flip the script and create art empowering women no matter their backgrounds or life choices, while honoring her brother and educating others on addiction resources. Outside of work and art, you can catch Kira volunteering her heart out! She loves giving back to her community by teaching art at the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter and saving cats in the Northwest Arkansas area with Crystal Creek Rescue.
