MOPROS | POTTERY WORKSHOP WITH SHAYE ANDERSON

Make the most of your after-work hours and recharge in style with MoPros—curated experiences for creative professionals.
This month, Kaleidoscope Collective and the Momentary are joining forces to bring you the art of handmade ceramics with Shaye Anderson.
Discover the art of Nerikomi, a refined Japanese technique that marbles and combines colored porcelain clay. This two-hour creative experience invites you to delve into the intricacies of working with porcelain. Nerikomi, derived from the Japanese words “neri” (kneading) and “komu” (to gather), involves the meticulous blending and layering of colored porcelain clays. This revered technique results in stunning patterns and textures, transforming functional objects into pieces of art.
Tickets are $45 ($38/members), reserve your spot online or with the Box Office at (479) 657-2335
Due to uncontrollable variables in the art of ceramics and the high temperatures of firing, sometimes even the most carefully constructed pieces may crack or even explode in the kiln. All measures will be taken to ensure pieces are handled and fired as carefully as possible. However, some pieces may not survive in one piece.
