Painting: Sign Painting
Explore the art of sign painting in this hands-on workshop inspired by themes from the exhibition Chuck Ramierz: Ordinary Wonders. You’ll learn simple sign painting techniques and create a custom message, word, or phrase on a mirror using a provided template or your own original design. Along the way, we’ll consider how everyday objects, advertising, food, products, and community shape the visual culture around us.

No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Workshop is designed for adults 14+.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Olivia Trimble is a 2nd generation sign painter and muralist living in the Arkansas Ozarks. Her murals are often hand painted versions quilts, or positive calls to action for the viewer. Olivia has worked as a visiting artist instructor at the University of Arkansas School of Art, production designer of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, the Arkansas Folklife Festival, and regularly partners with cities and community focused organizations
