About The House of Songs
The House of Songs is an international music nonprofit founded in 2009 in Austin, Texas and expanded to Northwest Arkansas in 2018. Our mission is to bring songwriters and musicians together across cultures and borders to create, collaborate, and build community through music.
What started as a single creative house in Austin has grown into a globally recognized engine for artistic development. Over the past 15+ years, we’ve worked with musicians from more than 30 countries, helping artists form the kind of collaborations that lead to real professional impact.
Through our residencies, co-writing programs, and international partnerships, House of Songs artists have gone on to achieve chart-topping releases, major tours, international festival invitations, label signings, and Grammy-nominated projects. We’ve become a proven export pipeline — helping artists reach new markets, new audiences, and new income opportunities.
Core Work:
- International Residencies: Artists from the U.S. and abroad come together under one roof to write, record, and form long-term creative alliances.
- P2P Co-Writing Sessions: Our peer-to-peer program connects local artists for structured co-writing sessions that strengthen regional music ecosystems and expand each songwriter’s creative network.
- Global Music Summits: Large-scale gatherings that bring together musicians, producers, and cultural partners for intensive collaboration. Recent summits have taken place in Florence, Italy, and Luleå, Sweden, with more planned worldwide.
- SongRider: A mobile music program bringing performances to parks, trails, and public spaces — making live music accessible to communities of all ages.
- ListenUp!: A curated listening and storytelling series that builds deeper connections between artists and audiences.
Whether through living-room writing sessions or international summits, The House of Songs opens doors — helping artists grow, communities connect, and new music take flight across borders.
