ABOUT THE CHEF
Chef Lisa Stuart is the Chef de Cuisine at The Momentary in Bentonville, Arkansas, where she helps shape a dynamic and evolving culinary program within one of the region’s leading contemporary art spaces. Originally from Mississippi, her cooking is often rooted in Southern tradition and shaped not only by regional memory and comfort, but also by curiosity and exploration.
Her work, both in and beyond the kitchen, reflects a deep commitment to craft, connection, and belonging. In addition to her culinary role, Ms. Stuart has been an advocate and educator for the transgender community in Northwest Arkansas since 2014, and has worked as both a runway model and fashion event producer with a focus on inclusion, representation, and belonging. She also serves as co-host and A/V tech for My Open Mic, the longest-running weekly open mic event in Northwest Arkansas, which supports local performance artists of all skill levels. Whether in the kitchen or on stage, Lisa’s work centers on authenticity, connection, and a strong sense of identity. For this Supper Club, she has chosen to explore contemporary Indonesian cuisine, inspired by a year she spent living in Jakarta during her youth.
