Joe scores each moment with his violin and his looper, composing everything live in an impressionistic style, and then throwing it all away when he’s finished.

He grew up in the bluegrass and Celtic world almost exclusively at first. It wasn’t until high school that other influences like Black gospel, funk, jazz, blues, and rock found their way to him. Now he blends all of those genres and more into mellow background music, and always seeks first to fit the vibration of the room he entertains.
