Coca-Cola Announced as a Founding Funder of the Momentary

Coca-Cola announced its commitment to being a partner of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art through 2020 and expanding its impact as a Founding Funder of the Momentary – a new contemporary art space, satellite of Crystal Bridges, opening in downtown Bentonville on February 22, 2020.

“Coca-Cola has been a partner of Crystal Bridges from the beginning in 11.11.11. We have worked together through the years to create incredible guest experiences at the museum. From the Coca-Cola Stage and the High South on a Roll food truck in the North Forest, to the newly installed recycling, trash, and compost bins, and the Coca-Cola Hydration Station and Shuttle Stop in the additional parking lot by Buckyball, Coca-Cola has helped enhance the Crystal Bridges guest experience for all,” said Lieven Bertels, director of the Momentary.

The announcement took place on the Coca-Cola Stage at Crystal Bridges’ Forest Concert Series on Saturday, July 20. Quinton Martin from the office of the president of Coca-Cola North America; Keith Berman, senior marking manager of industry affairs for Coca-Cola North America; and Marcy Camacho, director, strategic initiatives & capabilities for the Northwest Arkansas Coca-Cola team were joined on stage by Rod Bigelow, Crystal Bridges executive director & chief diversity and inclusion officer; Lieven Bertels, director of the Momentary; Pia Agrawal, curator of performing arts, the Momentary; and Emily Ironside, director of development, Crystal Bridges, for the announcement.

Coca-Cola joins the Momentary’s Founding Funders along with Walmart and RØDE Microphones. Coca-Cola will support innovative programming at the Momentary for its first three years.

“It’s a perfect match. Innovation is at the core of Coca-Cola, and the Momentary will draw on this shared value to build on the work completed together over the years at Crystal Bridges while thinking creatively about how Coca-Cola can help make our guests’ experience at the Momentary a memorable one,” said Bertels.

The partnership was celebrated when all raised a bottle of Coca-Cola with guests attending the museum’s Forest Concert Series.
