BENTONVILLE, Ark. — On November 18, the Momentary will host a community event to celebrate the opening of its latest exhibition Enduring Amazon: Life and Afterlife in the Rainforest and the newly remodeled interior. The free, family-friendly event will feature an array of activities inviting community members to experience all the Momentary has to offer, including artist talks, DJ sets, dance parties, cocktail demos, a photobooth, lots and food and beverages, and more. People of all ages are welcome to spend a vibrant day in Downtown Bentonville, culminating with the Lighting of the Square.
The Momentary announced plans for a remodel and transformation in early 2023. Now, the completed, reimaged space includes a new gift shop, refurbished lobby, and updated Onyx Coffee Lab, with even more seating. The campus-wide exhibition, Enduring Amazon, also opens to the public on November 18. An emotionally charged immersion in light, sound, and imagery that explores the delicate balance of life in the Amazon rainforest, the exhibition includes works by groundbreaking photographer Richard Mosse, award-winning composer Ben Frost, artist-duo Susannah Sayler and Edward Morris, and environmental explorer David Brooks.
